My name’s Barkley and I am on the hunt for a human family of my own! I’m a handsome guy, with classic, long, soft hound ears and droopy bedroom eyes. I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home and I like cats but being with people is my favorite thing!<br/><br/>I’m pretty laid back for a youngster but always ready to play and happy to meet new friends. I already walk very well on a leash and might like to try jogging alongside when you go. I will love to hang out while you’re working at home, ride in the car and keep you company on errands, or go on dog-friendly outings. If I need to stay home alone, I really like my solid-sided crate.<br/><br/>Here is a very important thing to know about me: I am all hound dog, Beagle and Bassett to be precise, and much as I don’t like to admit it, you can never let me off-leash. If I’m let off-leash or left unsupervised outdoors, my nose takes control and all those delicious scents on the ground make me forget everything else. I don’t decide to take off running, but as a hound dog, I really cannot help myself.
