Banjo's Story

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG, please go to our website at humanesocietypc.com and complete an application. All of our adoptions begin with an application.

Banjo is a 3 1/2 year old male Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix that came to us in need of a forever home. Banjo is an active and focused dog. That being said, he is also extremely smart and demonstrates this in knowing sit, shake, and down. He comes when called, especially if there is a treat. He can catch that treat but will also gently take a treat from your hand . He has a playful side and enjoys going after thrown squeaky toys; he will usually bring them to you and sit and wait for the next round. He does well on a leash. When he's had an opportunity to run off some of his boundless energy, he will often sit close and just hang out with you. He has a goofy, quirky side and sometimes just rolls around on the ground near you being silly. He needs a job and a person who has experience with these highly intelligent, energetic dogs. Banjo wants to please and has wonderful potential to be your best buddy. He has been here way too long and deserves a chance to find his forever home. Banjo should do fine with older kids - over 8 years old (he may herd small children). He would need a meet and greet with other dogs in the house, but will definitely not do well with cats.

Please visit our web site at humanesocietypc.com and complete the application there. We will contact you once we have had the opportunity to review your application. This dog's adoption fee is $275. That fee includes spaying/ neutering, microchipping, deworming and vaccinations.
