Bandit's Story

Fourteen months. That's how long Bandit spent in an outdoor pound, through the heat, through the rain, through winter after winter, waiting for someone to notice him. Yesterday, he watched snow fall from inside a warm house for the first time in over a year. He's shy at first. Quiet. A little unsure of what to make of all this softness and warmth. But if you give him a moment? He gives you everything. Bandit has tested heartworm positive, and we met with the vet to build his treatment plan. It's a road ahead, but he's already proven he can handle hard things. We'll be sharing updates every step of the way, so follow along as this boy fights his way to a fresh start. He is cat friendly, dog friendly, and great with kids. He's not the dog who rushes up and bowls you over. Not Bandit. He's the one who slowly sidles closer until he's leaning against your leg, and then you realize you've just been chosen. That's Bandit. Quiet loyalty. Patient love. A real prize waiting for the right family to find him. ✓ Cat Friendly ✓ Dog Friendly ✓ Kid Friendly ✓ Shy → Sweet ✓ Fully Vetted ✓ Worth the Wait "The right family will unlock a love he's been saving for a very long time." Follow along as Bandit starts his heartworm treatment and begins settling into the life he was always supposed to have. Could you be his people? Inquire today and in the meantime, share his story. Every share is a chance.

Bandit is heartworm positive and begins injections March 23. He is eligible for foster to adopt with the right family while he completes treatment.
