Bandit's Story
Meet Bandit, an 11-week-old male Black Lab Mix that came all the way from Arkansas to find his forever home! Bandit and his littermates were surrendered to a rescue in Arkansas. They reached out to Brookline for help, and we were happy to welcome these adorable pups into our rescue.

The puppies' dad looks like a Black Lab, and their mom looks like a Lab mix. The puppies get their white markings from mommy.

Bandit and his littermates were named after the 1970s movie "Smokey and the Bandit". Bandit is appropriately named... because he will STEAL your heart! But he's no outlaw. He's a sweet, snuggly puppy who will climb into your lap for cuddles.

He does tend to get into puppy trouble, though, so he must be closely supervised, or crated when you can't keep an eye on him. Housebreaking is a work in progress - at this point it's more a matter of us getting him outside as often as needed, which is very often!

Bandit sleeps through the night in his crate. He's currently with his sister, Carrie, and they are both quiet and settled in the crate. He may have a rough time the first few nights without his sister, but he will adjust. Bandit is crated for 1-2 hours several times throughout the day so he can nap, and we can get stuff done.

Bandit loves to spend time outside exploring the yard - doing laps around the deck, jumping in the gardens, sneaking behind bushes. Theres so much to see, sniff and chew. Bandit is currently being treated for worms so we follow him around ready to pick up poops so we can keep the yard free of infestation. He hasn't had all his shots yet, so he hasn't been on walks in the neighborhood.

Bandit lets us touch him anywhere without any problem - checking his ears, teeth and paws. He loves to cuddle with people and other dogs.

Bandit loves to chase and play with his littermate and the big dogs. He loves to play tug games. He will chase after toys to play but does not bring them back.

Everyone who meets Bandit comments on how adorable he is. Once you look into to his warm, friendly eyes, we think you will fall in love, too!

You can follow Bandit's progress on his blog:
https://brooklinelabrescue.org/blog/bandit-4-black-labrador-retriever-mix-male-10-weeks-old-id-3791/

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue. (Note: Sometimes a foster home falls in love and adopts their foster dog, so the dog doesn't make it to Available Now).

If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Website, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process. If you need additional information about the adoption process or whether you are in our coverage area, please send an e-mail to our Rescue at info@brooklinelabrescue.org.

Even if you are not ready to adopt, you can still help us help our Labs!
Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization funded entirely by donations.
