Bandit's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Bandit! Bandit is a 1 year old male pekingese and he weighs about 13 pounds. Bandit arrived in rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. He has settled into foster care and is ready to find his forever home. His foster mom says: He is a sweet, cuddly boy who loves being close to his people. Toys and belly rubs are two of his favorite things, and he’s already potty trained (on a schedule) and comfortable walking on a leash. He also gets the zoomies and loves to sprint around when he’s feeling playful. At night he sleeps in a crate, though he would much rather curl up in bed with you if given the chance. He doesn’t bark much, but you may hear a quick alert if someone comes to the door. He can be protective of his person and has some food guarding with other dogs, though this is improving with training and consistency. He generally does well with other dogs as long as they respect his space, but he should be the only dog in his forever home. He will give a warning growl if he feels uncomfortable around other pups, but he may escalate if another dog tries to take his food or challenges his bond with his human. His reaction to cats is still unknown, so slow introductions would be important.

Bandit is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.

Bandit is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $500. If you are interested in applying to adopt Bandit, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
