Bandit's Story

PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Bandit is a 2‑year‑old, 50‑pound GSP/Lab mix with a goofy, affectionate personality. He does best with older children due to his playful energy and occasional gentle nibbles. Food, shoes, and kids’ toys should be kept out of reach, and toys should be monitored since he plays hard. Smart and eager to learn, Bandit is ready to be a loving adventure buddy for the right family.

BANDIT’S STORY:

Bandit is settling in wonderfully and showing more of his sweet, goofy personality every day. This handsome GSP/Lab mix—with a big blocky head and even bigger heart—is eager to please and even more eager to snuggle. He’s a certified cuddler who thinks every lap is meant for him!

Bandit is crate-trained with incentives—toss a couple of treats in, and he’ll happily head inside. Once in his crate, he’s quiet, relaxed, and sleeps and eats without a fuss.

He loves playing with his buddy, ISR alum Willie. Bandit’s big paws may give him a slight advantage during play, but both dogs have a blast together. He’s a social boy who enjoys good company!

This smart cookie already knows sit and wait, and he’s working on hand signals and polite door manners (no pushing his way outside!). He’s learning down and making progress. Bandit can pull on leash, but with ice and snow limiting training time, he’s waiting for better weather to practice.

True to his Lab side, Bandit is very food-motivated… sometimes too motivated. He’s been known to counter-surf and snag things he shouldn’t (including a collapsible water bottle—Bandit says it looked fun!). His foster keeps shoes locked away, just in case. He did chew through a rubber toy once, but didn’t ingest any pieces.

Bandit eats well and is learning to take treats gently. He’s a sweetheart through and through, full of affection, curiosity, and silly puppy charm.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, food-motivated cuddlebug who’s eager to learn and ready for adventure, Bandit might just be your perfect match!

If you’re a family who wants to adopt a sweet boy, then Bandit may be just the match for you!
