Bandit's Story

Hi, my name is Bandit. I came to the shelter 6/6/26 as an owner surrender. I'll be turning 4 at the end of July and it would be amazing if I didn't have to spend my birthday in the shelter. I'm an absolute love bug but am very shy when I first meet people. I get nervous but do come around quickly. The humans at the shelter say I'm silly and love my personality. Are you looking for a buddy who would love to go on hikes, swim and make you smile 24/7? If so, I'm your guy! I'm energetic but also can be very laid back. I love cuddling and depend on my people to make me feel more comfortable. I had a bit of a hard life at my previous home so just know it might take me more time to warm up to you and show you my true personality, but I'd say I'm worth the wait. I know my people are out there and am excited to start my journey to adoption

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
