Bambi & Poppy

Poppy and her puppy Bambi were surrendered after their elderly owner passed away. As it turned out she was a backyard breeder trying to supplement her income, but these poor dogs lived in a shed in her backyard. There were 5 more, another Rescue took. These two are, we believe to be, mother and daughter. Poppy is a purebred Chihuahua about 5 yrs old. We've had her spayed and had a dental cleaning done. She has also been brought current on vaccines. Bambi is approx 6 months old, and also has been spayed and had her shots. Bambi, being a puppy has come around very quickly. She is outgoing and playful. Poppy is still very hesitant with people, scared and shy. She is NOT a biter, just shrinks away or hides under her blankets. They weigh 5#s. Bambi, the mix puppy, is a little taller and we believe to be a Doxi cross a Chiweenie. We are not looking to place them together, but it would be fine if you wanted both. No small kids or large dogs please, these are teeny, tiny dogs who need to be protected and cherished by a responsible adult. These littles also live up to 16-18yrs , so not a good choice for an older senior either. They have both taken to the potty pad readily, so an apartment with an outdoor patio for sunning could be acceptable, as long as you have landlord permission and a paid pet deposit band longevity or residency. We do prefer home owners with safe, securely fenced yards. These little girls deserve more from humans! Super cute, sweet babies!!
