Bambi's Story

Hello! I’m Bambi! I came to the shelter and birthed several gorgeous babies who have all found homes but I'm still looking for my forever home. I started out quite shy but with the care and attention I've received here I've learned to open up and enjoy the company of the people around me. I've even been described as flawless since I can be left unattended, have done well in interactions with older children, and appear to be mostly house trained. I'm sure the right home is out there for me and ideally I'd prefer one without other dogs, that way I can soak up all the attention myself. Come by and meet me today!

Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
