Bambi's Story

Meet Bambi, an energetic Australian cattle dog mix in need of a loving home. She was pulled by a good Samaritan from a kill shelter in Los Angeles. (There are plenty of dogs in the home, so Bambi deserves a home where she can get more individual attention.) She is about 5 years young.

Bambi is all about playtime. She LOVES balls, whether that's a tennis ball or a football. She also enjoys a good, old fashioned game of tug-of-war. Bambi is also a big fan of going for walks and rides in the car.

Bambi has the funny habit of herding cats, but she is much better about giving them space now. She is great with other dogs but is a tiny bit skittish when she first meets them. (See the picture of her relaxing with canine friends at the dog park!) Bambi is very food motivated. She's even been known to steal treats from other dogs, following the 'too-slow!' rule book. (At least she is a nice thief, lol!)

As an athletic dog, Bambi can jump VERY high. She will need a yard with a fence that is at least 6 ft tall.

She is very smart and a good communicator. For example, Bambi will let you know when she needs outside. As a good communicator, she knows to not raise her voice unless appropriate: she only barks when she is very excited.

Could Bambi be the energetic buddy you've been looking for?

Increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options!
Thats where you and puppers make sure youre a good fit for one another before signing on the dotted line..... its a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. If you are interested in adopting this or another POPP dog, please complete our short adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/

If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org.

Our puppy or dog adoption fee of $300 includes a lovable, non-judgmental canine companion who has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped prior to adoption.
Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.
