BAMBI's Story

“A true friend leaves paw prints on your heart." This makes us think of Bambi, who will bring such joy and devotion to her new family! She is 2 1/2 years old and weighs 45 pounds.

Bambi has the tenderest of hearts and the gentlest of souls and is such a sweetheart!

She spent some time out of the shelter and her foster reports: " Bambi is sweet, gentle and very devoted. She is calm and relaxed in the house and spends most of the day resting at the foot of the couch or on her blanket. Bambi is housebroken and lets me know when she needs to go out. She is crate also trained.

Bambi is learning come, sit, leave it, off, and place. She loves hot dogs and responds well to treats.Bambi is very bright and she just seems to know what you want from her.

I've taken her camping several times and she settles well on her blanket by the fire and sleeps well in a tent. Bambi will walk down a creek or along the edge of a lake or river but doesn't seem interested in swimming. She rides well in the car, too.

Overall, Bambi is a great dog who is sweet, gentle, intelligent, calm, highly trainable and responsive."

Back at the shelter, Bambi is an enthusiastic companion on daily walks. Bambi likes being close by your side and we truly enjoy her company. Our golden girl with the blonde eyelashes is sunshine on a rainy day - or any day!

She enjoys playing in the shelter yard and, after she is done, adores being petted and loved on.

Bambi has enjoyed meeting her fellow shelter companions in play groups. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.

She is a wonderful dog to be at your side during the day and curl up at your feet at night.

E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information!

Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
