Bambi's Story

"Bambi came to stay with me shortly after she arrived at the shelter. She was very overwhelmed and frightened. Since being home with me, she is slowly coming out of her shell. We don't know much much about her back story other than she was found on the streets carrying a stuffed toy. For being such a small and reserved dog, she has a big personality. She is happiest being outside but MUST have a yard with a fence (small slatted fence) because she will take off. She is a midnight toy defluffer and will work all night to accomplish the task and would be content to sleep most of the day. She has a new foster room mate that is a female pup and is doing very well sharing her space. She lets me pretty much do anything grooming wise with very little reaction; nails, teeth, ears, and bath. We haven't figured out the concept of walking on a leash (maybe never has been walked with confinement) so potty training is a work in progress but she keeps her area very clean by going potty on puppy pads. If I could pick the best person to adopt her it would be a someone that lives a quieter lifestyle, has patience to allow her to feel safe, and enjoys a lap dog. Once she is in your arms she would be content to spend the rest of her life there." - Foster Mom Lena

Feel free to ask any questions.
