Meet Bam Bam, who has an explosive personality!! 🧨💥 Bam Bam is a 2 year old male Pit Bull mix who came to us as a stray. Bam Bam came to us as a stray and once we saw how strong this boy was, we knew how fitting his name would be! He LOVES to play with any and all toys, ESPECIALLY tennis balls! He is a sweet boy and we don’t know how anyone could look into those sweet brown eyes and not fall in love! Bam Bam would do well in homes without other pets, however due to his strength and play style we do not recommend for him to go home with small children. All members of the household would have to meet Bam Bam prior to adoption! Butler County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process is quite thorough. We require potential adopters to fill out an application. This application includes listing if they rent or own their home, we verify that they either own or have permission to adopt from landlord they rent from. We require all current animals in the house to be up to date on all required vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adopting from us. They must provide a veterinary reference if they have owned an animal in the past 5 yrs so we can verify they were not negligent pet parents. We also require two references (must not live in same household, and only 1 can be a family member). We conduct dog intro's here at the facility to ensure our animals are going home to a welcome environment. Sometimes multiple visits are needed. We also ask them if they have any topics they are concerned about or need more information about.

Our mission is to provide temporary, safe, no-kill shelter for homeless and lost cats and dogs, ultimately placing them in loving homes or with caring rescues while increasing community awareness of the humane treatment of animals through education, spay-neuter programs, rabies clinics, and a respect for life.
