Balthasar's Story

If joy had four legs and a wagging tail, it would look exactly like this stunning 61 lb brown terrier boy. With his striking iceblue eyes and big, happy grin, he's the kind of dog who turns heads everywhere he goes. But his real magic is his spirit - bright and bouncy and ready for the next adventure to his furever family.
He is looking for a family who appreciates a dog with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm who can be very independent and not super needy which is a bonus. Someone who will enjoy his occasional antics, give him outlets for his energy, and let him be the joyful companion he's meant to be. He does well with other dogs but does not seem to need them for happiness. With his wiry coat, this dude will likely fall into the low shed/hypoallergenic category for those looking for that type of dog.
Those iceblue eyes aren't just beautiful - they're full of hope. He's ready to leave his rescue days behind and step into a life where he's cherished, challenged, and loved.

Weekend Host Feedback: "Balthasar was great this weekend! He is so cute!

He is great on a leash, doesn't pull and is easy to navigate. He rides great in the car, no crying just sits and eventually lays down. He is fully potty trained and very quickly learned to sit at the door when he wanted to go outside.

As far as sleeping, I kept his crate open with blankets inside if he wanted to go in but never did. He loves carpet and will jump to sit in your lap at any moment.

He is extremely loving and friendly to anyone he meets! We've met quite a few people who talked to us about his breed, some saying Irish wolfhound (which I think looks a lot like him!) and
Wire haired pointing griffon!"

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption's Adoption Policy
All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $395.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Request Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/adopt/. An Adoption Request Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/give/donate-now/. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
