Balor's Story

This sweet 6-year-old Lab/Basset mix weighs about 50 pounds and has a heart just as big. Through no fault of his own, Balor lost his home due to a divorce and is now looking for a new family to call his own.

Balor grew up in a loving home with dogs and kids. He’s passed the puppy stage and enjoys the comforts of home—relaxing, spending time with his people, and being a loyal companion.

This good boy didn’t do anything wrong; sometimes life just changes. He’s hoping for a fresh start with a family who will give him the stability and love he deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, well-rounded dog who’s ready to fit right into your life, Balor could be your perfect match. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
