Meet Bailey!<br/><br/>***Foster Update 9/5/26***<br/>Bailey turned 8 months today, we have had him for a month and he is growing into a fun dog to have around. Bailey is definitely not a morning dog, he gives us the side eye if we disturb him before 7am and eating in the morning is a nope.. He will graze his food, not eating a lot at one time. His personality is definitely more playful and relaxing. And now that his surgery has healed his energy has just skyrocketed. But he needs his snuggle time too!!! Today was Bailey's first time going to the lake. He did so good. His nose was pointing him in so many different directions.. found out he's a squirrel/chipmunk dog in training, he would chase after every single one. Also found out today that little kids that run up to him very quickly startle him. And he does not know what to do. He is such a love that I know that he would be licking these kids to death in a very short amount of time .<br/><br/>This sweet young former street dog boy will soon be making the journey to Oregon from our wonderful rescue partners in Mexico who operate just outside of Guadalajara, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome him into the Street Dog Hero family. Like many former street dogs, we don't know much about his life before he was rescued. As a foster home-based rescue, our first priority is helping dogs like Bailey transition into loving temporary foster homes where they can decompress, adjust to their new surroundings, and prepare for life with their forever families. Of course, if an approved adopter is already waiting for him, he may have the opportunity to head straight into an adoption trial.<br/><br/>Recue notes from Mexico:<br/>Handsome Bailey is sweet and intoxicating like the Irish cream! Beautifully colored, he has a chocolatey brown body and head with a lighter tan face and legs, and simply stunning eyes that are the color of sunlight. A pretty white chest and throat complete his debonair ensemble. Bailey is good on leash and great with other dogs and cats... he was very cautious around our Ranch kitty, and chose to take the safe route and give her a wide berth. Slightly on the shy side, Bailey is happy to curl up next to you and chill out for a little while. He is friendly and affectionate, and will be happy to grow up with a loving person or family who wants a little fun injected into their lives!<br/><br/>Don't wait to submit your adoption application through our website for a chance to meet him and bring him home for an adoption trial.
