Bailey ***Courtesy Post***'s Story
***Courtesy Post***

Meet Bailey, the energetic, affectionate rescue mutt—she is likely part Australian Shepherd and part cattle dog. She is fixed, fully vaccinated, weighs about 45 lbs., and is estimated to be between 2 and 4 years old.

Bailey is very generous with her kisses and loves getting attention from her humans. She gets along very well with women and children but requires more time to feel comfortable around new men in her life. When she isn’t getting showered with love, Bailey spends her free time chewing on her favorite toys and treats. Her other hobbies include chasing her blue squeaky ball around the yard, rolling in the grass, and digging just enough to bury her toys and treats for safe keeping.

Bailey is house broken, responds to her name, and knows how to sit. She responds well to training exercises and would thrive with owners who can dedicate time for additional training. She loves getting dressed up for walks but is still working on her leash skills and would do best at a house with a closed yard where she can run around safely. Bailey requires more practice socializing with other animals and is best suited as an only pet. She gets along with other dogs when calm, but becomes nervous and reactive when they get too excited and try to play.

Bailey

has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $200 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Bailey could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*:

https://helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application

.

*Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
