Bailey's Story

Bailey is an 11 month old, 70 lb, male, Terrier/Bull Terrier mix.

Bailey is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home.

This big boy with the cute ears is Bailey, and though young, he has a story to tell! He was rescued while running loose on the highway, scared and injured. Thankfully he is safe now and healed from his injuries - the broken leg has healed and the road rash faded away, and he is a happy camper. Bailey is a friendly guy, and shared his first foster home with the resident dog and some foster cats, as well as young children, and he did well with the dog and the kids (very limited interaction with the cats). Bailey is enjoying life in his new foster home, he became friends with the resident dogs and really enjoys the fenced in backyard. Now that he is a teenager on the cusp of adulthood, Bailey can be a bit bossy, so although he is friendly and playful, a home where he is the only dog could be better suited for him. A doggy friend would have to be the kind that would not mind if Bailey was the leader. He enjoys being able to go on walks again, but due to the old injury he would not be an ideal candidate for sports such as running or agility. But he would definitely enjoy some nice walks or hikes where he could get some fresh air and sunshine. Bailey is potty trained and crate trained too. He has learned basic obedience and his foster mom says he is doing well and enjoys training sessions (must be the bacon treats!). He went from pulling excitedly while walking to behaving himself like a perfect gentleman on walks. This guy is happy to be safe and loved, and hopes that he can find a loving home where he can play with chew toys, take long naps and give sloppy kisses to his new family.

Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada.

Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive family’s homes. Our $500 adoption donation includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip and transportation costs.
