Bailey's Story
Meet Bailey, the sweetest pup you could ever hope to meet! With a heart full of love, she’s always ready to make new friends and share her joyful spirit. After being rescued from a tough situation—she was sadly hit by a car—her previous owners couldn’t provide the care she needed. This meant she had to have one of her legs amputated, but don’t let that fool you! Bailey is bursting with energy and joy, running, jumping, and playing just like any other dog.

When guests come to visit, Bailey's excitement is absolutely infectious! She races over to greet them with wagging tails and a body that wiggles with happiness. Bailey loves spending time outdoors, soaking up the sun, and being a snuggly companion. She knows how to have fun, whether it's playing with her human friends or romping around with her doggy buddies!

Bailey gets along great with most dogs, but she prefers a home without older or more dominant pups. She would also thrive in a cat-free environment. One thing is for sure—she absolutely adores kids, including little ones, as long as they’re not too rowdy! Bailey would be a wonderful addition to any family, bringing joy and love wherever she goes!

If you are interested in pursuing an adoption and you live in Texas , please complete the application (links provided below). The process includes a vet check, calling references and doing a home visit.

http://www.texassleddogrescue.org/web_documents/tsdr_application.pdf
or
https://www.formstack.com/forms/?1632205-WX2Zb144ZP

Please note the following:
We rarely do out of state adoptions. (Exceptions can be discussed but will be based on previous big dog experience and will require same adoption process.)
Children in the home or that visit often must be at least 6 years of age. (Exceptions can be discussed but will be based on previous big dog experience.)
Adoption donation is due at the time of adoption. Puppies under 1 year are $300. Dogs 1 year to 7 years are $200 and dogs over 7 years are $150. As this is a donation, it will be non-returnable if dog is returned to rescue.
Dogs are not placed on a "first come, first serve" basis but rather the best home for the dog.
All dogs placed by TSDR will be:
spayed/neutered
vaccinated for distemper/parvo, rabies, and bordetella
heartworm tested and treated if needed
microchipped
other vetting as deemed needed
New owners will receive copies of all available vet information and must agree to keep them current on all of the above.
