Bailey's Story

<p><em>Bailey is approximately 3 yrs old. &nbsp;She is a very sweet and beautiful girl who loves her K9 foster-brother Molson and is learning all about the world around her with his guidance. &nbsp;She loves to play outdoors and go for walks &nbsp; She is still a bit unsure of new people and situations but is slowly learning to trust and feel more secure. &nbsp;Bailey is being fostered in Stoney Creek, Ont.</em></p><br/><p>++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++</p><br/><p>She is part of our program where we recently took in 12 adult Weimaraner X Labs who were part of a Puppy mill seizure in Ontario. &nbsp;All dogs are located in various foster homes throughout Ontario.</p><br/><p>Although not properly socialized as puppies and living largely outdoors in pens with several other dogs, these survivors are all proving to be quite social with people and other dogs. &nbsp;They are a bit shy and fearful of new situations/people at first but are making great progress. &nbsp;They are incredibly sweet and want to be with their trusted caregivers as much as possible. &nbsp;They do build trust quickly when given the time and proper direction in order to feel secure but require patience and understanding when they encounter new things. &nbsp;They all seem to be very intelligent and loving. &nbsp;They love the outdoors and their fears seem to lessen when they are out running in the fields. &nbsp;They also seem to have an affinity for children and women and are quite gentle but do need to learn about manners such as not jumping up on people or counters!</p><br/><p>They will be adoptable when they are spayed/neutered and their foster families feel that they have progressed enough to move on to their forever homes. &nbsp;Each dog is different so adoptions will be based on each individual dog's progress.</p><br/><p>Our program works by adoption process which starts with our completed application. &nbsp;A volunteer will meet with you whenever possible and help us decide if a particular dog is a good fit for your family.</p><br/><p>Please contact Liette Fadden - National Rescue coordinator for an application or if you want more info on a particular dog.</p>
