Bacon

Bacon is a 14-month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix. He can be nervous and unsure of things at first, and I think being dropped off at the shelter has been pretty hard on the little guy. But once he warms up to you and starts trusting you, oh my goodness, he is such a sweetheart.

He loves being with you and just wants to be close. He’s a total lap dog and will literally try to sit on your shoulder like a little parrot He gives the best kisses and hugs, and just wants to be loved on. I really think he would do best in a home where someone is home a lot or could take him places with them. He just wants to be somebody’s little buddy and be part of everything.

We’re still working on his leash skills, and he has been around little Yorkies and did just fine with them.

He really is just a sweet little man who needs someone to give him a chance and let him come out of his shell.

Dogs that are not yet spayed or neutered are available for "Foster-to-Adopt."

Please note: We only offer fostering to individuals in and around Nevada County.

Our foster-to-adopt program is for dogs awaiting their spay or neuter.
