Meet Babygirl: Elder Stateswoman, Leisure Theorist & 60 Pounds of Institutional Knowledge<br/><br/>Babygirl, affectionately known as BBG, is an 11-year-old, 60-pound senior scholar who has spent more than a decade conducting longitudinal research into what actually matters.<br/><br/>Her findings are conclusive: couches, snacks, leisurely walks, sunbeams, cuddling, and absolutely no unnecessary nonsense.<br/><br/>BBG is house trained, kennel trained, and has achieved near-mythological proficiency in Advanced Lounging. She enjoys fetch, but approaches it with the measured restraint of someone who understands the ball will still be there in thirty seconds. This is recreation, not the Olympics.<br/><br/>She adores people with almost indiscriminate enthusiasm. Neighbors? Friends. Mail carriers? Colleagues. Random citizens? Potential constituents. Leave the house and BBG is perfectly capable of entertaining herself through an ancient senior practice known as going to sleep. Upon your return, however, expect a reception normally reserved for sailors presumed lost at sea.<br/><br/>Other animals have been considered and the motion has failed. Babygirl wants to be your one and only pet, which feels less like a behavioral limitation and more like an executive decision. At 11, she has no interest in sharing management.<br/><br/>Her ideal home is gloriously civilized: gentle strolls, excellent upholstery, plentiful affection, respectable snacks, and humans who understand that slowing down is not the same thing as having less to give.<br/><br/>Because BBG has so much to give.<br/><br/>She is sweet, affectionate, easygoing, deeply companionable, and equipped with the particular magic of an older dog who no longer needs to audition for your attention. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).<br/><br/>The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet.
