AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.<br/><br/>Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.<br/><br/>All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.<br/>Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.<br/><br/>All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.<br/><br/>We are currently accepting adoption applications for Baby.  She is currently in Oklahoma with our foster, however, can be here within a week's notice with an approved application. We will still want to have a dental procedure completed prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Baby had a rough start to life when she found herself living with horrible pet owners.  She wasn’t family, she wasn’t vetted or cared for properly, and when they didn’t want her any longer, she was considered disposable, and they gave her away.  The recipient individual offered to take her to find her a deserving home for her Senior years. Yes, this lovely lady is 11 years old and has years of pent-up love to give.  Our foster momma in Oklahoma was contacted and, well you all know the story, how can one say “no” to this gorgeous, little lady?  Almost Home Foster & Rescue couldn’t.<br/><br/>Baby is spayed, and will be fully vetted, including a dental, prior to adoption.  She is currently in Oklahoma, but that is only a day’s travel to get her to Minnesota, to AHFK.   She can be here in a heartbeat.<br/><br/>Baby is estimated to be 11 years of age.  We are giving her a  DOB of 10.21.2014.  Baby is currently living with other dogs, both large and small and does well with all.  We are unsure of her compatibility with children.  She does well with adults.  She has not been cat-tested as far as we know.<br/><br/>Baby appears to be a double-coat, wire-haired Terrier mix.  She is spayed, will be fully vaccinated, including a dental and microchip.<br/><br/>Baby is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, a retired couple or individual, or one which works from home; a family that can help Baby acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience.  A fur-sibling would be an absolute dream for Baby.   Please allow 6-8 weeks for Baby to acclimate to the changes in her life.<br/><br/>We state that Baby is potty-trained, however we realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. A solid routine, patience and compassion are required for all new adoptees.<br/><br/>Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application.
