Baby D

Baby D (aka Dioge) is a 5ish month-old Bluetick/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who was recently rescued along with her parents and sisters after being found abandoned near Missoula. She is a fun and vibrant pup with the perfect mix of playfulness and sweet good girl! Baby D is a fairly low maintenance puppy who has fallen right in step with her foster family’s daily routine. She is doing a great job walking on a leash as well as following the pack on off-leash hikes. She is nearly house broken but still needs a little work on that first potty of the morning after a long night of baby coonhound dreaming. She is working on crate training but does protest for the first few minutes of being left in a crate. Baby D is coonhound through and through, and she’s learning how to use her coonhound voice. This makes her a bad candidate for apartment, condo or townhome living. She is a little timid around people due to an obvious lack of socialization in her earliest months of life but is learning to warm up and open up. However, she loves other dogs and even cats and would love a home with other pets. <br/><br/>Baby D is the runt of her litter and currently only weighs about 20 pounds. She will likely mature to between 45 and 55 pounds. She is tall and slender and just the most beautiful little girl you’ll ever meet! She has been vaccinated and dewormed and her spay is scheduled. <br/><br/>Potential adopters should be familiar with the coonhound breed, either through past experience or extensive research. Baby D stays close to her pack now, but as she gets older, her nose is likely to take over. Her forever home should plan to get her a GPS tracking device for any off-leash adventures.
