Although she’s still practically a puppy herself, it’s clear that Baby has already been a mama at some point in her young life. Despite her difficult start and everything she’s been through, this sweet girl’s heart is still completely full of love, forgiveness, and joy. ❤ï ̧<br/><br/>After being rescued from the streets, Baby tested positive for heartworms and bravely endured months of treatment. She never let it get her down, and she has now<br/>successfully completed her heartworm treatment<br/>! She’s feeling great and ready for her happily ever after.<br/><br/>And Baby? She is a<br/>social butterfly!<br/><br/>CAT-FRIENDLY:<br/>Baby absolutely LOVES cats! She has completely bonded with her foster family’s cats and considers them her very best friends.<br/><br/>DOG-FRIENDLY:<br/>She also does wonderfully with other dogs.<br/><br/>KID-FRIENDLY:<br/>Baby loves older children and would make a wonderful family companion.<br/><br/>HOUSE MANNERS:<br/>Inside the home, Baby is an absolute dream. She is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows basic commands like<br/>sit, stay, and come.<br/>She also does great being left alone for extended periods, making her a great fit whether you work from home or have to head off to work during the day.<br/><br/>And when you ARE home, get ready for some serious cuddles! Baby is a total lap dog who loves nothing more than curling up beside you on the sofa. Of course, she also has some strong opinions about sharing that couch... and by “sharing,” we mean she plans to become a<br/>professional couch hog.<br/><br/>Baby has great manners, but she still has some playful puppy energy. She loves having a little project to work on — like deciding her brand-new memory foam bed would be much better with all the foam pulled out! Tails of the Unwanted's Adoption Policy
Our main goal during the adoption process is to find the perfect match for you and your family. Our process includes: Adoption Application Phone Interview Vet Check Personal Reference Check Home Photos The most important part of our adoption process is the phone interview, this is where we get to know you and your family more and your needs and wants for a new family member. During the phone interview try to tell us as much as possible about your lifestyle and family so we can make sure you are getting the perfect match. At the end of the phone interview we may suggest a different dog due to the dog you put in an application for not fitting your lifestyle needs or vice versa, this is for everyones best interest so please do not get discouraged. We want you and the dog to be happy for the rest of their lives. The home photos are in lieu of a home visit. We do out of state adoptions so sometimes home visits are not feasible. For the home photos we are looking for where the dog will spend majority of their time (i.e. yard, living room, bedroom, kitchen). Our applications process is on a somewhat of a first come first serve basis, but in the end it is who is a better fit for the dog. This process can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on how many applications we are processing.
