Baby's Story
- Active dog who is ready to accompany you on all your adventures; looking for a family who loves being active just like her

- Enjoys playing with stuffed toys and rope toys

- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train; already knows sit!

- Likes getting lots of attention from her people and wants to be involved in everything you're doing

- Loves going on walks and does best with a harness

- Used to spending time in her kennel while her foster family is away from home

- Has lived in an attached-living environment with her foster family and has been a quiet houseguest

- Has been doing well with potty training in her foster home, may need some help from her new family to get to 100%

- Wants to be right up next to you in the car, so would do best with a dog seatbelt on car rides

- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her (mature home recommended)

- Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs when she first meets them, but has gotten along great with other dogs in her foster home once getting to know each other; may do best with a dog friend who doesn't mind if she's a little pushy at first (dog intro recommended)

- Has lived with a smaller, older dog in her foster home and done well with them

- Has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia (more info at ARL)

This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.

Primary Color: Liver Secondary Color: White Weight: 67.5lbs Age: 3yrs 2mths 2wks Animal has been Spayed
