Babe's Story

Babe, one of our female Dane/Mastiff mixes, is now a Jersey girl! Babe is now a year and a half old and is living in a home for the first time. She has been in her foster home for about a week now and is thriving there. She attached very quickly to her foster mom and is her shadow. She had one accident in the second day in the home but since then has done all of her business outside.

She is crate trained and will cry at bedtime for about 10 mins before she settles down for the night, and may need a stern, "go to sleep" before she quiets. She is getting walked multiple times per day and loves her walks, she walks right at your side, her leash manners are great now. She is great with her canine foster brother and sisters, a male Dane, a female Dane and small mixed female.

Babe loves cuddles and kisses and wants nothing more than to be loved and be right next to you. She is content to lie at your side chewing on a toy or napping, as long as you are nearby, she's happy, a typical velcro pup. She is good in the car, loves meeting people and other dogs on her walks and was great at the vet. She is getting accustomed to loud noises and doing well with trucks, lawn mowers and vacuum cleaners. She has not been tested with small children but given her gentle nature, she would probably be fine meeting them. She may chase a cat but we don't think she would hurt anyone.

This is one sweetheart of a girl and will make someone a wonderful companion. If you are looking for that Great Dane Personality in a slightly smaller package, Babe is the girl for you!
Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.

For more information on this dog and our adoption policies, visit MAGDRL at https://www.magdrl.org.
