Baba's Story

Baba is a big 3 year old neutered black Lab. He lived with kids before being surrendered when they added a young dog to the household and Baba did not get along with the puppy energy. Here at the shelter he is playful with other dogs but also likes to sit back and just watch the yard. He was house trained and lived inside before coming to us. We do offer a foster to adopt program for Baba to make sure he is a good fit. Call us at 903-886-1160 to learn more. Commerce Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
The Commerce Animal Shelter is open Mon - Fri. from 10:00-4:30 for adoptions.   We will advertise certain days where we hold special off-site adoption events as well as open Saturdays.   Let us know if you would like to schedule a Saturday or Sunday appointment to meet our shelter pets. We would be happy to assist you in your adoption. Call 903-886-1160   Please contact us for further information about any of our adoptable pets. We would be glad to assist you! Call us 903-886-1160   We also welcome rescue organizations with current 501 c3. Just email your paperwork and let me know who is an authorized transporter, and the pet's name and ID# that you would like to tag for rescue.
