Azul (Zuzu)

Azul came to us having been rescued from a puppy mill where she spent 5 yrs making babies in a cage, then someone rescued her but they also never got her spayed or her medical and dental needs addressed so after 2 more years because they couldn’t housebreak her they brought her here. The very next day we had her in surgery for a spay and dental. Thank God we did because this baby was in an active pyometra also. And she lost tons of teeth in the dental cleaning process also. But she’s a survivor and is doing amazing! Eating like a champ, taking her meds and on the road to recovery. She’s such a sweetheart little thing I could eat her up! Zuzu is about 7 plus years old and about 7lbs of long haired chihuahua. She’s great with everyone human and pets young or old but or small. <br/><br/>She will need a patient owner who will work on her potty habits with peepad training or small interval crate training. Puppy mill dogs raised in crates have no choice but to soil their cages so it’s a brain switch for them to only use one to sleep in. It can be achieved but takes patience and time. I’m not sure the owners ever tried to housebreak her properly.
