Meet Axel, at 2yrs old and 54 lbs, this guy is the perfect size to load up and go! He adores people, is super friendly and is good with dogs. His favorite thing is playing tug of war, he's also really good at fetch! He’s been taken care of by a family since September 2025 when they found him dumped as a stray, and they’ve reached out so many rescues trying to find help finding him a home, but they haven't had any luck due to lack of space in Texas rescues, so we offered to help. Axel is a courtesy post and can come to Idaho with FBH if he has an adopter waiting. He's going through heartworm treatment, which will be fully covered by the rescue either at the vet in Texas, or at our vet in Meridian depending on where he is in treatment. Don't let that scare you off though, at a young age, heartworm treatment is quick and easy. We typically have 2-5 dogs in treatment at a time and it's always a breeze!<br/>Neuter, microchip, transport, and heartworm treatment are all included in his adoption fee.
