Avett

Avett is a 3 year old, male, Border Collie/Heeler mix surrendered to rescue when owner was "unable to support his needs". Owner reports they bought Avett as a puppy & he was free to roam in the home with children and other animals with no issues except for "jumping" sometimes. He has been friendly and cooperative with all the volunteers at the rescue. He loves running and playing in the big fenced yard and is working on his leash skills. He is in several dog play groups at the rescue & has done well with all the other dogs. Avett is a bit over weight so we are providing a healthy diet and regular exercise to improve his quality of life which we hope will continue with his new family.
