Avery's Story

Avery is the definition of a happy, energetic puppy who's ready to learn, explore, and grow with the right family. Everything in a home is still new and exciting to her, and she approaches life with wide-eyed curiosity. Because of this, she'll benefit from someone committed to continuing her puppy training. She's had only a few accidents in her foster home, and with a consistent schedule she's doing wonderfully, though she doesn't yet ask to go out. With structure and patience, she's on the right track.
Like many puppies, Avery loves to chew--but she's easily redirected and will gladly swap a household item for a toy. She plays enthusiastically with her foster's dog, sometimes a little rough due to her hyper puppy energy, but never out of aggression. She has met the resident cats several times; however, her rambunctious nature is a bit much for them, so she does best with slow introductions and supervision around more sensitive pets.
Avery is crate trained and does very well being crated when unattended. She's extremely food-motivated and enjoys treats, which makes training promising as she continues learning her name and basic manners. She's improving on leash walks and absolutely loves having a fenced yard where she can zoom around to her heart's content. Indoors she stays fairly quiet, but outside she isn't shy about expressing her excitement with enthusiastic barking.
Avery is a loving, lively puppy with tons of potential. With guidance, consistency, and affection, she'll grow into an amazing lifelong companion.
Please note: We only accept adoption applications through our website or in person (Facebook and Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications).
