Available - Maggie's Story
Socialization: Maggie loves everyone she meets; she is very friendly and loveable. She loves all sizes and ages of dogs or kids. No toddlers are recommended due to her energy level; she might be too much for little kids. She has not been cat tested.

Training: She is trained to a doggie door, and is mostly house broken. She's only had 2 accidents in her foster home when we were gone too long.

Crate trained: Maggie is crate trained and only barks if she needs to go outside. Maggie knows "come" and "kennel" but sometimes needs reminders

Leash trained: She will walk on a leash but gets so excited wanting to meet everyone that she will pull on her leash.

Activity level/requirements: Maggie is very birdy, she loves to run up and down the fenceline to chase birds or squirrels. She needs an active home so she can get lots of love and playtime. She is young, so very energetic. She loves to play with you and her toys or the other dogs, especially the young dogs. But she also loves to lay on the dog couch for her naps.

Fence requirements: Hard fence is best; she has a five foot farm fence in her foster home and has not challenged that. She gets very excited when she sees birds or squirrels and might break thru an invisible fence.

Personality: Maggie loves everyone! She needs lots of positive attention and playtime. If you have kids, she would love having buddies to play with. She would be great in any active home so that she can get lots of love and playtime. A family with kids or grandkids would be perfect for her.

Health history: UTD on vaccinations, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm preventative. She is a very healthy active young setter with no known issues.

Foster comments: Maggie would be great in any active home so that she can get lots of love and playtime. All of our dogs will miss her when she leaves, as we will. She's a happy, healthy, birdy, typical setter.

Foster Location: Corydon, Indiana

Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $75.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far Western states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions.
