Ava's Story

Written by a friend of the shelter:
Had to use Chatgpt because she deserves the most heartfelt post .
I'm a sobbing mess , with all I been through lately , then to be told about Ava because I left a card and gift for the donor not knowing Ava's story , please SHARE SHARE HER STORY , I will advocate for this Angel Ava my dogs lifesaver, she saved my Alana , saved my heart from shattering.
🐾🐾🐾This is Ava. She's a 4-year-old brindle pit bull with a heart bigger than most people you'll meet. Ava lives in a shelter in Lewis County, NY--but yesterday, she left that shelter for something extraordinary: she gave blood to save another dog's life, my Alana
Her blood helped Alana survive emergency surgery. She laid there, calm and brave, trusting strangers, just to give another dog a chance at life. And then she quietly went back to the shelter she's been waiting in... because no one has come for her.
Her story is even more heartbreaking: Ava once had a family. Her dad was deployed overseas, serving our country. And while he was away, the family brought Ava to the humane society šŸ’”Just left her behind.😭
Despite everything, Ava still adores people. She loves kids (lived with a disabled child), loves affection, and wants nothing more than to curl up next to a human who sees her for the miracle she is. She just asks for one thing: to be the only pet. No other dogs or cats--just a human family ā¤ļø
I am covering her adoption fee. I'll help with supplies if you need it. All I ask is that you give Ava a chance to leave the shelter behind--not just as a blood donor, but as someone's beloved, forever dog.
She's at the Lewis County Humane Society in New York. Please, share her story. Reach out. Let her next car ride be the one that takes her home.
Because Ava saved a life.
Now she's waiting for someone to save her from shelter life , Grateful Lewis county Humane is a non kill , However every dog deserves a family of there own šŸ¾ā¤ļøšŸ™
