Ava's Story

Meet Ava, the lovable and cuddly German Shorthaired Pointer who’s sure to steal your heart! She’s a sweet and affectionate girl who thrives on human companionship. Ava is a true snuggle buddy and would love nothing more than to be by your side, offering unconditional love and affection.

When Ava first arrived, she had a little trouble finding her place in the pack and there were a few minor quarrels (no injuries). With time, consistency, and patience, she’s settled in beautifully. These days she and her dog friends do great together—even snuggling up to sunbathe side by side.

Ava has a confident personality and sometimes likes to take the lead with her furry companions. She may give a growl now and then to set boundaries, but she’s learned to coexist peacefully and enjoys playing with the others. A home with dogs that are well-balanced and tolerant of confident personalities could be a great fit.

Ava has had some challenges with the kennel (she shredded her first bed!). I swear it was faulty and just exploded—lol. She’s made great progress with potty training and now uses the doggy door. She hasn’t tried to escape and hasn’t jumped the 4-foot fence, though she will put her paws up and bounce a little when she spots the neighbor’s cat.

Ava will make a wonderful and loyal companion to her human family. She’s a total sweetheart, and once she bonds with you, she’ll be your best friend for life. Ava really is an amazing dog with a big heart and a lot of personality. She’s ready to bring love, fun, and a little bit of spice to the right home. Could that be you?

Ava really is an amazing dog with a big heart and a lot of personality.
