Autumn II's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGAutumn loves people! Her favorite activity is standing next to you while you pat her sweet little head. Once she’s done with that and feels sufficiently secure, she will go play with her toys or take a nap. Autumn came fully housebroken and has recently been spayed. She gets along fine with other dogs, but so far doesn’t really play with them much. She loves exploring the backyard in her foster home and learned the doggie door on day 1. She also loves it when other people come over...more attention and more petting! She is a little mischievous and has been known to steal socks or relocate the odd flip flop from the closet to the kitchen, but she’s not destructive. Autumn has been sleeping either in her crate at night or on a doggie bed right next to the bed... where the occupant of the bed can give her an occasional scratch on the head before she sacks out. She also has her meals in her crate as our shelter contact said she had been very protective of her food there. She does fine on a leash, but has the usual beagle tendency to do zigzags, sniffing left and right, then back, then forward, then repeat. Autumn is heartworm negative and is ready to go on a sleepover.
