Austin's Story
Meet Austin – Available for Adoption or Foster to Adopt!
Langley, BC
Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/232924681460256

Meet Austin, a big, beautiful Husky boy with a heart as big as he is.

Austin is approximately 6 years old and has recently come back into our care due to a change in circumstances. He's a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention—especially belly rubs!

Austin is housebroken, crate trained, and enjoys the company of other Huskies. He has lived with a child in the past and has done well in a family environment.

He's also a big fan of cookies and we have a feeling he would probably be quite happy spending time around water too! He's got that classic Husky personality and enjoys being part of the action.

Austin can be a little leery of men when first meeting them, but with slow, respectful introductions, he has done well. He simply needs someone who understands that trust takes time and isn't going to rush him.

One thing Austin definitely needs to work on is his leash manners. He's a strong boy and he pulls! His adopter will need to be comfortable handling a large dog and willing to continue working with him on polite walking.

Strengths

• Very sweet and affectionate
• LOVES belly rubs
• Dog friendly, especially with other Huskies
• Housebroken
• Crate trained
• Has lived with a child in the past
• Loves his cookies
• Enjoys human attention
• Big, goofy Husky personality

Things He's Working On

• Can be cautious around men when first meeting
• Needs slow, respectful introductions with new people
• Strong leash puller
• Needs continued leash training and good handling
• Benefits from structure, consistency and an experienced home

About Austin

Age: Approximately 6 years
Gender: Male
Breed: Siberian Husky
Potty Trained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Dog Friendly: Yes – does well with other Huskies
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Has lived with a child previously
Energy Level: Medium
Vocal: Typical Husky
Favorite Things: Belly rubs, cookies & hanging out with his people

Ideal Home

Austin needs someone who understands Huskies and is comfortable handling a large, strong dog.
