Aurora Rose's Story

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

**Please read Aurora Rose's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**

Meet the fairest of them all Aurora Rose! She's a 3-year-old Cane Corso mix, weighing 55-60 pounds (as of 1/13/26)! This pretty princess's life wasn't always a fairytale as she was surrendered by owners in Mississippi that severely neglected her and left her malnourished when she was heavily pregnant. But we are happy to report that Aurora Rose gave birth to a healthy litter! Now that her pups are being taken care of, Aurora Rose is ready to start a new chapter in her storybook and find her once upon a dream with you!

Aurora Rose is friendly, sweet and will never make you feel bad about being a lowly peasant! Because to her, you're as magical as the three gift-giving fairies that came into her life. If you happen to find yourself singing to animals in the middle of the woods, Aurora will be right by your side as she's great with leashes. She won't even try to bite the singing birds because of her low prey drive. Aurora enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes and has been able to live with cats without showing aggression (if anything, she's just curious about them!) This girl is a princess to all!

Due to her rough beginnings, Aurora was treated for heartworms and had a benign tumor removed from her foot. But this princess continues to persevere! Aurora is excited to become a member of your kingdom and learn the royal ways of crates and obedience. (Though she's happy to report that she's house-trained!) Aurora Rose may have been asleep for 100 years, but that doesn't mean she can't learn new things! Don't wait for true love's kiss! Adopt this girl today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Aurora Rose, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
