Aurora's Story

Meet Aurora!
Boston Terrier | 7 Years Old | 21 lbs
Key Needs: Secure physical fence, no kids under 6
Aurora is a gentle soul with a heart full of love, ready to find the forever home she truly deserves.
At 7 years old, this sweet Boston Terrier has left her life as a breeding dog behind—and though she carries a few reminders of that past, she’s embracing her new chapter filled with toys, playtime, and comfort.
A vet confirmed that Aurora previously suffered a fractured jaw, but it has fully healed and requires no treatment. Despite her rough start, she’s resilient, affectionate, and so ready to thrive in the right home.
Aurora loves the company of other dogs and has excellent manners—she knows when to play and when to give space. She’s a fan of crinkle toys, enjoys chasing balls (she’s still working on bringing them back), and is learning what it means to simply be a dog.
Aurora lights up whenever she meets another dog—big or small! She’d do well in a home with or without another pup. She’s also met children and will gently kiss their hands— any kids in her forever home should be age 6+. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, there’s no current concern.
Special Considerations
Aurora is still learning how to walk on a leash. She does best when you let her lead but may freeze if she feels pressure. She hasn’t used the bathroom while on leash yet, so a secure fenced yard is required as she needs to build confidence.
She’s mastered a few small steps to the backyard but hasn’t tried a full flight of stairs yet—she’ll need supervision until she learns. She’s perfectly fine being gently picked up by her trusted humans.
Aurora is housebroken, though she does best on a regular potty schedule.
She’s used to having someone home most of the time and may cry when left alone, so apartment living isn’t ideal. If you work long hours, doggy daycare or a midday potty break would help her feel secure and happy.
Aurora may have had a rough start, but she’s discovering how sweet life can be—and she’s ready to share that sweetness with a loving family who sees the gem she truly is. Could that be you?
Aurora is spayed and vaccinated, and her adoption fee will be $400. Please see our website at www.wisconsinbostonterrierrescue.com for more information on the adoption process.
