Augie - Houston's Story

I’m pretty independent, but I love being held. Mealtimes are my favorite, and I will be your best buddy if you give me fruit snacks. I have an agreeable and gentle disposition, but prefer no dogs or humans get between me and my food bowl. I’m smart, curious, and playful in spurts. I will sleep in my crate, but prefer under the covers in the bend of a knee.

My Optimal Adoptive Home:
Moderate Energy/Activity
Has someone that is home mostly during the day
Is okay with a dog in their lap quite frequently
Apartment homes are approved

House Training:
Very rare or no indoor accidents
I know how to use designated potty pads indoors
I know how to use a supervised dog door when the humans are home
Occasional overnight accidents

Crate Training:
I consider the crate my safe space and don't mind being in there at all for reasonable amounts of time.
If the door is left open, I will put myself inside to rest.

Leash Training:
I walk very well on a leash and enjoy going for walks

Sleeping Preference:
At night, I prefer to sleep in my human's bed

I Do Well With:
Other small dogs

Daily Medical Needs:
Eyedrops
