Meet Aubrey - a sweetheart who will be your number one biggest fan! This pretty pup has been living in a foster home and has been a wonderful, easy house guest. Now this loving, silly, gentle and well-mannered girl is ready to find her forever family.<br/><br/>Aubrey's favorite thing is spending time with her people. She is an A+ snuggle buddy, and her lovely soft fur is just an added bonus that will make you want to pet her all day. She is so excited to greet you when you get home that her body bends in half from wagging her tail so far. She's sociable and excited but polite when meeting new friends as well. <br/><br/>At home, Aubrey is a breeze. She is totally crate-trained and has also been respectful of the house when loose, and she has been doing great picking up on the household routine. On walks, she walks well with a harness and mostly minds her own business. She does want to chase squirrels and other small critters, so we believe she will do best in a home without cats. In play group at the kennel she was gently sociable with other dogs, and she is calm passing them on walks. <br/><br/>As she grows more familiar, Aubrey's personality shines even brighter. She figured out toys and fetch in her foster home, and now likes to collect all her toys and pile them in her bedroom. You must schedule a meet with a dog in advance - we are not currently accepting walk-ins. Please look online first to see if there are any dogs you think would be a good fit for your home before scheduling a meet. To get the process started, visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog and fill out the form. One of our adoption counselors will get in touch to schedule and confirm your meet! At the kennel, an adoption counselor will introduce you and your family to the adoptable dogs, share information we know about them, and discuss our suggested ways for successfully integrating a new dog into your home. You are welcome to meet multiple dogs. If the dog you adopt is already fixed, he or she may leave with you that day - otherwise, the dog can go home after receiving the spay or neuter surgery.)<br/><br/>About Our Dogs: All available dogs have gone through a behavioral and medical assessment. This assessment is a snapshot of who the dog is at that given time. We cannot make any guarantees with regard to behavior, temperament or health of any City Dog once they are in the home. Most of our dogs are picked up as strays, so we do not know what kind of home environment they were living in (i.e. with kids, other dogs or other cats), nor do we know if most of them are house trained. Everything we know about them is based on volunteer and staff observations. We do have some dogs in foster homes, where they will have more information about how the dog is in a home environment. It is very hard to tell with certainty whether or not a dog will be good with kids, cats or another dog. If you have kids in the home or another dog, we do require that they be present for a meet and greet with the dog you are considering for adoption.<br/><br/>Heath/Vaccinations: Dogs that are adopted directly from the kennel need to go to your personal vet within two weeks of leaving the kennel. All dogs receive their DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines, though you may be required to get follow up boosters. All dogs come microchipped and with a Cuyahoga County license.
