Atom's Story

Meet Atom | Apply Here

Atom is a 7-year-old Poodle weighing 11.5 lbs. This calm and mild-mannered boy has a warm, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect companion for any home. He can't wait to find his forever home in NYC!

Atom underwent orthopedic surgery on both hind legs to address patella issues, with successful healing and good surgical outcomes. He was treated for hypothyroidism in 2025, which responded beautifully to medication—his thyroid levels normalized, and medication was discontinued. The condition had caused some hair loss that improved significantly once treated. Atom also has a grade 3 heart murmur (early-stage mitral valve disease, MMVD Stage B1). His vet has evaluated his heart and determined he does not need medication at this time, though regular monitoring is recommended.

You don't have to wait for an adoption event.
