Atlas's Story

🗺️✨ Atlas
Some dogs are sweet. Some dogs are goofy. Some dogs overcome every odd stacked against them. And then there’s Atlas - the deaf, blind Aussie mix pup who somehow manages to be all three while still being darn near perfect. 💖
Atlas LOVES people and will seek out attention like it’s his full-time job. He adores dogs of all sizes (in fact, having a dog buddy is non-negotiable - they’re his compass in this wild world 🌍🐾). He even respects cats, giving them the space they demand like a proper gentleman.
Don’t let his vision and hearing challenges fool you - this boy has some sight in his left eye, enough to catch shadows, and he navigates life like a pro. He’ll zoom after toys with reckless abandon, plop down for cuddles, and strut on a leash like the world is his oyster (okay, maybe a wobbly oyster, but an oyster nonetheless 🦪😂). With a confident dog friend at his side, he’ll master walks, adventures, and probably even a doggy door in no time.
And here’s the best part, Atlas is already working on his own style of recognizing basic commands through haptics (gentle touch cues) with his foster, who just so happens to be the rescue’s behaviorist. That means he’ll come with a built-in support system to help his forever family keep him learning and thriving. 🎓🐾
✨ Atlas’s Stats:
•Dog-friendly ✅ (must have a canine sidekick)
•Cat-friendly ✅ (he respects their royal space)
•Kid & people friendly ✅ (attention = happiness)
•Kennel & house trained ✅ (basically house manager material)
•Toy obsessed genius ✅ (seriously, Helen Keller herself might have competition here)
•6ft fenced yard required because of his special needs.
Atlas may not see or hear the world the way others do, but he feels it with every ounce of his goofy, golden heart. And the family lucky enough to call him theirs? They’ll never know life without sparkle again. ✨🐶💥
👉 Apply to meet Atlas:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGLR/Dog
