Meet Athena (Paws in Prison Participant)
Athena, THE LITTLE DOG WHO COULD! Athena is one brave and wonderful gal. She survived being hit by a car on the interstate, including a front leg amputation. She was originally listed as special needs, but her spunk has proved otherwise. She is just as capable and playful as her four legged pals. If you’re looking for a dog who is obedient and loving, look no further. She will graduate from Paws in Prison 2/24 and ready to for her new home.

Athena is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, her daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.
