Meet Athena II - 802
Athena is a very sweet but strong German Shepherd. She is about 4 years old and weighs 56 pounds. Athena would do best in a house with a fenced back yard where she can get plenty of exercise and time outside. She’s smart and knows numerous commands and learns quickly. She loves attention and will nudge you with her nose softly to get those much desired pats. Athena is dog friendly but is also perfectly content on her own as well. She loves her walks and enjoys seeing people, other dogs, and squirrels along the way! She is crate trained but prefers to roam around the house to choose which bed she prefers best. She loves to play. She also loves to eat and will help herself to your food too if given the opportunity. Overall, she is a very loving dog who really wants to be close to her owner at all times.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.
All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
