Meet Athena<br/><br/>Athena is a beautiful Bully Shepherd mix with a story that is difficult to understand.<br/><br/>Years ago, her owners dropped her off at a boarding facility before going on vacation.<br/><br/>They never came back for her.<br/><br/>Athena was abandoned there and has spent years living in a kennel, waiting for a life that never came.<br/><br/>And somehow, after all that time, she still loves people.<br/><br/>Athena is incredibly sweet, and an absolute darling. She has also done very well with the dogs she has met. She can take a little time to warm up and feel comfortable, which is completely understandable, but once she does, she is lovely. She is currently living with her Shepherd foster brother and getting along well. <br/><br/>She is now experiencing a very different world and has been adjusting remarkably well to city life. New sounds, new surroundings, new routines and so much more freedom than she has known in years.<br/><br/>Athena is spayed, vaccinated and receives regular flea and tick prevention (Nexgard Spectra) as do all of our dogs.<br/><br/>Athena deserved better a long time ago.<br/><br/>Now we want to make sure the rest of her life makes up for the years she lost.<br/><br/>Athena is ready for a home, a family and finally, someone who comes back for her.
