Athena! Brindle Beauty!

Meet our beautiful brindle girl named Athena! Athena is about 7 years old and she came to our shelter after her owner unfortunately passed away. She was very attached to her owner and Athena is very confused because she is now living in our shelter. Athena is a sweet girl who just wants to be with her people. The loud kennel is very stressful for her, but once she is outside with us she just wants some love and attention. She is very clean in her kennel and she has started playing with toys. Athena is a nice medium sized girl who is looking for her forever family! We are told by friends that Athena is good with other dogs, but she can be a rough player sometimes, so a doggie sibling would have to be okay with that. She is reactive to cats if they are reactive to her, so she might do better in a home without cats right now. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.<br/>Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.<br/><br/>An approved application does not guarantee an adoption.
