Athena's Story

Meet Athena!

Athena is an adorable 8-month, 37# heeler with a heart full of love and energy to spare! She is smart and active and is ready for her next adventure, whether it's going for a walk, splashing in the water, or playing in the yard. Athena enjoys staying busy and loves chewing on her favorite rawhide bones.

Athena is learning all about her new world and continues to make great progress with boundaries, house training, and meeting new people. She is incredibly loyal to her people and loves being close to them, often following them from room to room just to be part of the action. Once Athena bonds with you, she becomes a devoted companion who simply wants to be by your side.

When meeting new people, Athena can be a little cautious at first and may need some time to warm up. However, once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through. She loves attention, pets, and being loved on by those she trusts.

Athena would do best with an active family that understands the needs of a young Heeler and can provide her with regular exercise, structure, and continued training. She is currently unsure about small children, so a home with older, respectful children or adults may be the best fit while she continues to build confidence.

If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and energetic best friend who will happily join you on life's adventures, Athena may be the perfect addition to your family! If you would like to meet this dog, please call Lorri at 630-659-8814. The adoption fee is $275.

Adoption fee includes:
- microchip
- spay/neuter
- age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies
- heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive
- deworming
