Meet Athena with her adorable ears. Athena came to us through a humane case. We do not know about her background. We have found out that she was not well socialized. Athena will need slow introductions with new people. She was not sure how to walk on a leash nor did she like us trying to put a leash on her. She is doing better with both now. She will need patience while she learns how to be a dog and on house breaking. Once Athena gets to know you, she is sweet and will give you kisses.<br/>We are still working on getting her more socialized. Athena would do well in a quieter home without small children. She seems to like the other dogs here at the shelter and does fine with our house cats. If you are interested in meeting Athena please fill out an adoption application.
