Astrid's Story

Meet Astrid!!

Astrid is an almost 6-month-old coonhound mix with a curious mind and a mischievous streak to match. She's always on the move—playing hard, chasing the big dogs, and finding new ways to entertain herself (and keep you on your toes).

True to her coonhound roots, Astrid is smart, independent, and full of personality. She loves her toys and would much rather be chewing, exploring, or stirring up a little fun than sitting still. That said, she does have a soft side—if you scoop her up and bring her to the couch, she'll happily settle in for some cuddles.

Astrid will thrive in an active home that can keep up with her energy and continue to challenge her sharp mind. Playful, clever, and just the right amount of trouble—Astrid is all puppy in the best way!

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
